Composition and Performance
Combination of Zinc oxide and eugenol ( oil of cloves)ZOE can be used as a filling or cement material in dentistry.Manipulation:
Mixing temperature: 23+-1℃, Humidity: 45~55%
Powder-liquid ratio reconcile: 1.6g: 0.5g (weight)
Incorporate half of the powder in the liquid in patting and folding motions using a small area of the pad surface. Add small increments of powder to the mix, using the same mixing motions until acquiring the proper consistency.
Mixing time is 30 to 40 sec until no color streaks in the mix are seen & auniform consistency is obtained, total mixing time is 1 minute 30 secProperties:
Setting time: 3-10 minutes
Compressive strength: >=25Mpa
Less than 0.1% shrinkage occurs during hardenin
